So run, that ye may obtain.

“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.” 1 Corinthians 9:24 (KJV)

The First Quarter of the Year 2018 is almost gone.

Are you moving in the right direction?

Are you running this race of 2018 so you can win?

I recently read about Roy Riegels He played center in the 1929 Rose Bowl game in Pasadena, California. The game was almost over – the score was very close. Both teams knew that any score might well decide the game. Then, on one play, Roy Riegels suddenly found himself with a ball in his hands. , he started running as fast as a center can go – right for the goal line. Looking back over his shoulder, and saw a strange sight – his teammates were frantically pursuing him. His instincts told him just to keep running, and he did – until he was tackled short of the goal – by one of his teammates. Roy Riegels was running for the other team’s goal. And shortly, the other side went on to score and win the game. He went down in football history – as Wrong Way Riegels!

Many years ago, when the National Stadium Lagos Nigeria was still in its glorious state. Nigeria soccer team played against Tunisia. Godwin Odiye a Nigerian player scored his team the Green Eagles

Yomi and Femi just yesterday sent me a video clip of little children doing a relay race. The second leg runner faced the opposite direction and gave that race his best effort however he cannot win that way.

What activities are you involved with that you are dissipating all your energy into, but that’s not your purpose in life?

Take time this weekend to evaluate your life and the direction you are heading.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch, as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1Corinthians 15:58(KJV)
