But I say unto you

But I say unto you

“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”  Matthew 5:22 (KJV)

Watch how you speak or act especially to your fellow Christian.

Don’t speak from a position of unwarranted anger.

Don’t speak or act from a proud heart.

Don’t assume the position of God when you don’t even have the total and complete  picture  of the matter

Treat each other with love and respect

“Recognize the value of every person and continually show love to every believer. Live your lives with great reverence and in holy awe of God. Honor your rulers.” 1 Peter 2:17  (TPT)

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way, I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”” John 13:34-35   (MSG)

“But I’m telling you, if you hold anger in your heart toward a fellow believer, you are subject to judgment.  And whoever demeans and insults a fellow believer is answerable to the congregation. And whoever calls down curses upon a fellow believer  is in danger of being sent to a fiery hell.” Matthew 5:22 The Passion Translation (TPT)

But I’m telling you….

Don’t react and say “I was not treated as a Christian so I can respond in the manner I was treated “

But I say unto you…

You speak and act like your Lord Jesus Christ and Savior will do.
