Go tell that fox,

Go tell that fox,

“At that time, some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “You had better get away from here! Herod wants to kill you.” Jesus said to them: Go tell that fox, “I am going to force out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and three days later I’ll be through.” Luke 13:31-32(CEV)

When there was a reported threat to the life of Jesus, HE kept doing HIS core assignment.

Jesus did not mobilize politicians to the left or to the right to influence the power that is.

How come that the church today has abandoned following the example of our Lord?.

When the early church was under persecution, what did they do?

“The high priest and his officials, who formed the party of the Sadducees, became extremely jealous over all that was happening,  so they had the apostles arrested, placed in chains, and thrown into jail. But during the night, the Lord sent an angel who appeared before them. He supernaturally opened their prison doors and brought the apostles outside. “Go,” the angel told them. “Stand in the temple courts and preach the words that bring life!” Acts 5:17-20(TPT)

The directive from Heaven to them was to:

“Stand in the temple courts and preach the words that bring life!”

Stop the argument back and forth on what the church should do to threats.

God has always responded to threats to His work by giving direct instructions.

When baby Jesus was in danger, He told Joseph to take him to Egypt(Matthew 2:13)

Again we see the response of Peter to the threats:

“Peter and the apostles replied, “We must listen to and obey God more than pleasing religious leaders” Acts 5:29(TPT)

Stop trying to find a political solution to a spiritual problem.

“This is what the Lord says: Cursed is the person who trusts humans,

who makes flesh and blood his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5(GW)

Remember the core mandate the Risen Lord gave:

“And he said to them, “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race!” Mark 16:15 (TPT)

It is only the Gospel that has the power to change lives, not political legislation.

Again, the mandate is to reach the “entire human race” no matter how they classify or define themselves.

What are you doing with the core mandate God has given you?

Apostle Paul again reminded us:

“I refuse to be ashamed of the wonderful message of God’s liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere!’ Romans 1:16(TPT)

It is only the Gospel that can truly liberate.

Jesus’s response to that deceiver was to continue in His assignment.

What are you doing?
