He seized him by the throat
“No sooner had the servant left when he met one of his fellow servants, who owed him twenty thousand dollars He seized him by the throat and began to choke him, saying, ‘You’d better pay me right now everything you owe me!’ His fellow servant threw himself facedown at his feet and begged, ‘Please be patient with me. If you’ll just give me time, I will repay you all that is owed.’ But the one who had his debt forgiven stubbornly refused to forgive what was owed him. He had his fellow servant thrown into prison and demanded he remains there until he repaid the debt in full.” Matthew 18:28-30(TPT)
Look again at “The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant” Matthew 18:23-35.
Please read it over one more time and examine your life.
Is there someone you have seized by the throat?
Are you holding somebody in your mind, in your thoughts, and not forgiving?
You may not be holding the person physically in your hand, as illustrated in that parable.
However, the mere mention of that person’s name makes your heart beat faster?
The thoughts of what the person has done to you make you boil all over again?
How many times have you narrated the offense that person did to you to different people over the years?
Worse still, you have not even talked to the offender what the offense is?
Have you locked up the person in the prison of your mind?
Receive Grace today to release that person from the prison of your thoughts.
The more you hold that person with contempt in your heart, the more you have put yourself back into the prison of limitations.
Stop talking and narrating the incident over and over again.
As God has forgiven you so also forgive.
The consequence of UnForgiveness is in the following verses:
“The king summoned the man and said, ‘You evil servant! I forgave your entire debt when you begged me for mercy. Shouldn’t you be compelled to be merciful to your fellow servant who asked for mercy?’ The king was furious and put the screws to the man until he paid back his entire debt. And that’s exactly what my Father in heaven is going to do to each one of you who doesn’t forgive unconditionally anyone who asks for mercy.” Matthew 18:23-35 (MSG)
Jesus forgave you all unconditionally.
“Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him [drop the issue, let it go], so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings [against Him and others].” Mark 11:25 (AMP)
Forgive unconditionally and stop holding the person by the throat.
