Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.

Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. 1 Samuel 7:12(KJV)

What are you using today as memory blocks of the significant events in your life?

In the above Scripture, Samuel used that stone as a reminder to Israel of the great deliverance God gave them from their enemies.

Earlier Jacob and Joshua had also set up monuments to remember their encounters with God.

Today you may not be setting up physical monuments to commemorate events in your life but what have you set up in your mind about some past issues in your life?

As your mind occasionally roams your past yield the pains and the joys that may come up entirely over to God.

The early patriarchs of faith used those monuments to move the people and the nation forward to achieve their God-given destiny.

As you reflect on significant milestones in your life ensure that your memory of those events is from God’s correct perspective of the development not solely on your human interpretation.

Love and forgiveness must essentially surround the memories in our lives.

UnForgiveness and hatred will continuously eat away your energy and make God’s ultimate purpose of making all those events that have happened in your life to work together for your good to be longer.

As you reflect on the past and evaluate today and position yourself for tomorrow, please do so from God’s perspective.

“Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled. When I was an infant at my mother’s breast, I gurgled and cooed like any infant. When I grew up, I left those infant ways for good.

We don’t yet see things. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!” 1 Corinthians 13:9-12 (MSG)

As a nation, group or individual allow the LOVE of God to marinate your memory of past events, fill your hearts with Peace and Joy today.

Your Hope based on your real knowledge of HIM gives the assurance that your tomorrow is undoubtedly going to be better.
