Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted

“And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses; there is a noise of war in the camp. And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.” Exodus 32: 17-18 (KJV)

Joshua heard the noise coming from the camp of the Israelites and immediately concluded that it was the noise of war. However, Moses who had been in the presence of God knew directly from God that it was not war but a compromised, corrupted noise of betrayal and deception.

Do you hastily come to a conclusion like Joshua based on your knowledge and experience rather than hearing from God directly?

The best way to operate from is to speak and act from the knowledge of the All-seeing Most High God, who not only knows all but, sees all.

The noise that you hear from you and your initial judgment based on your fears; facts and experience may not be accurate.

Thank God that through Christ we are seated within the heavenly places and in a much more comfortable position than Moses was with God on the mountain we can through the power of the Holy Spirit know precisely what is happening.

Joshua found out the correct information from Mosses, and you will think Joshua will never conclude hastily again in his life but he did still when the Gibeonites deceived him and the elders of Israel in Joshua 9.

God did not write Joshua off for making that same mistake again so why are you not forgiving yourselves for making that same mistake again.Don’t also totally condemn that brother or sister for making a mistake. If God can forgive, forget and give another opportunity so you can do so too Christ Jesus helping you.

Joshua sincerely repented and learned from the lessons and successfully led the children of Israel into the Promised Land. You too can learn and genuinely turn away your mistakes and go and sin no more.

What noise is around you today? Honestly depend and discern with the Holy Spirit to know what it is not only all about but also equally receive from God the Word and the Wisdom to apply to the situation.
