The Crucified Life

The Crucified Life

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20) KJV

If you were to be asked.

Or if you were to ask yourself.

How can you live a crucified life successfully,

What would be your response?

Yet, it is crucial that you continually ponder over this issue.

Therein lies the secret of :

Pleasing God.

The Power of God.

The Blessing of God.

Fulfilling the Divine purpose

Repeatedly, we speak about the will of God because therein lies the secret of God’s Power.

You must be in the Will of God at all times.

As contained in the Lord’s prayer, God’s Power is used to establish God’s will for God’s glory: “Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory.”

God’s Power is to be used for God’s will.

The crucified life is a decision one has to make individually.

Not one that is made on one’s behalf.

You have to make that decision yourself.

Apostle Paul expressed his commitment to be crucified:

 “I am crucified with Christ.”

The crucifixion means death, not physical death, but a death to self. Christ died so that God’s purpose for man would be fulfilled to the end.

In being crucified with Christ, Paul further affirms that he is alive and that the life he now lives is by faith in the Son of God.

Paul’s ambition in living a crucified life was being sacrificed so that the purpose of God may be fulfilled in his life.

This is not a simple thing.

The flesh will like to do things naturally and logically.

It will definitely affect the decision you and I make every day of our lives. It is essential to understand and be committed to the crucified life.

Yes, it is costly.

However, His Grace enables you to daily manifest it.

Application for the Christian life:

Leave your sinful life

Commit your life to God.

Follow Jesus.

Resist temptation.
