We know that this man really is the Savior of the world.
“Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?” They came out of the town and made their way toward him”…
“And because of his words, many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” John 4: 29-30,41-42(NIV)
How do you move from hearing someone to knowing Him personally?
The Samaritan woman had told members of her community about Jesus.
However, they moved on further in having a personal relationship with Jesus.
Are you still living in the experience of the testimony shared with you?
Right as that, maybe it’s the starting point.
The testimony shared with you is the door.
Go in and relate personally with the Savior.
“Andrew brought his brother to Jesus. And when Jesus saw him, he said, “Simon son of John, you will be called Cephas.” This name can be translated as “Peter.” John 1:42(CEV)
Can you imagine how limited Peter’s life would have been if he only related to Jesus only through Andrew?
God wants you to move closer to HIM and have your own personal encounter with Him.
Do you have influence over a disciple?
Don’t just give them the fish.
Teach them how to fish for themselves.
Encourage them to be like the Bereans.
“The people of Berea were more open-minded than the people of Thessalonica. They were very willing to receive God’s message, and every day they carefully examined the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was true.” Acts 17:11(GW)
